Tony has a link to a good article about Indy Media. A little history, a little about how it is still trying to figure out what it is. Worth the read. You should also actually check out the available indy media - go to the IMC and find a local center for your location (here is ontario's)

Ah more law's to restrict access to content. Or really just to protect the MPAA and RIAA.

The new Car Wars rules are finally available! Picked up the first 3 sets this weekend, hoping to try them out next weekend with Ratboy and some other freaks. Fun fun fun. So many hours spent playing this game in highschool. Much more fun then grade 11 english. If anybody else is into it, drop me a line or add a comment.

From mr. humpstrees comes this great poster art site. I like the second one in, the one with the 2 hands reaching down towards a yellow star, the Richard Buckner one - really, there are lots of great ones here.

Oh man, from Mike's blog i found out about a new service Google is offering - "Google answers" . You can ask questions with a dollar amount for how much you'd pay to have the question answered. You can also sign up to become a person that answers the questions. You get 75% of the total. Wow. This just reminds me of so many sci-fi future scenarios, it kind of freaks me out. This is so like the classic idea of the computerized "librarian" or the rouge group of hackers you go to for info... Also interesting to note that all the questions and answers enter the public domain (ok, actually, i bet they are still "owned" by google, but anybody can read them), and any other regestered user can also comment on any question (this is a no fee thing - more like a news group). It's kind of interesting going through all the questions already asked and answered.

Its late (early), and i feel like rambling. Too bad for you all! Luckly, i don't really have anything to say, so i will cut this short. Oh, and good to see some folks still checking out the site (Ryan)! Thanks.

In an interesting twist, here is a newspaper that started from a blog. And the article that pointed me to it.

Oh ya, i'm trying out a comment system - if you are so inclined, you can add a comment to any of the posts via the comments link (which probably says "no comments"). Try it out, let me know what you think - there are one or two other free commenting tools available, so if this one doesn't work out, we can try another. One thing i've already noticed is that it takes longer to render the page now, cuz each comment link has to make a call to the comment server, so, for a full page, that's a fair number of extra web calls. Again, let me know how it works for ya'll.
Thanks to uigui for the comment system!

Ok, so i know that i'm only 3 years behind on this whole game thing, but i just got "Dungeon Keeper 2", and i've got to say, it rocks! Very fun, not too crazy a pace game, with many funny bits thrown in. And, since it is 3 years old, you can get it cheap, all (most) of the bugs have been found and squashed and there are a few (3) bonus packs that you can get too. Pretty good for 10 bucks!

From Rui, "The Newt that Never Was". Looks pretty nice - again, so far ahead of the curve....

Thanks to Tony for the props yesterday!

Finally got mozblog working again! Should make blogging a bit more regular. I'd forgotten to install jslib first, even tho it clearly states that on the install and home page. Anyway, version four is pretty great, if you have a blog hosted by blogger, or one that uses the blogger API, you should check it out. Note - you also need to be using Mozilla as your browser... For you mac heads, Chimera looks like a nice zilla based browser...

For those of you not in the Toronto area, our normal temperatures should be someplace in the low teens. Today and yesterday were both over 25 deg. celsious. We are all doomed.
